JANAURY LOOKBOOK

#Youtube

We are all guilty of recycling outfits!! These 3 looks and individual items I have worn on many occasions this month. It's getting colder here in the UK so I'm keeping warm by layering up, wearing my trusty turtle necks and keeping the fur out to play! Check out my latest YouTube video! OOTD | Outfit Of The Day

CHURCH

Church for me is a beautiful place where I am welcomed, cared for, encouraged and free to feel vulnerable without the fear of judgement. Now don't get it twisted, in the that building there are people that are just as broken, mean and cold hearted as some of us who don't believe in God. Not to say that anyone who doesn't believe in God is a bad person or has terrible characteristics, however church is not perfect and neither are Christians.
I go to church to thank God for all the great things going on in my life, the people he allows me to be around, the lessons I've learnt and the battles I've won without deep scars. It keeps me grounded, humble and nice. Trust me y'all without God I'd be a psycho bish!
Church has always been a place my family and I would make an effort to dress well for and this Sunday is no exception!

I went for a simple look with a shout of colour.
Fur, leather and lipsticks are my all time favourite items in life lol. They bring just the right amount of texture and dynamic to any look.
These leather trousers were an absolute steal from eBay. They are super flattering for my figure and happen to be convenient for the cold climate. I paired them with a dusty grey striped t-shirt but completely vamped the look up with fluorescent fur.
These leather Kurt Geiger heels lengthened my legs adding to the edgy yet girly look.

WORK WEAR

The Trusty Turtle-Neck!

While the English weather has gone from mild to minus, my attire has become pretty boring. There are plenty of ways to stay stylish whilst staying warm, so in this case I have decided to stick to what I know best... THE TURTLE NECK. Wearing a turtle neck has always been a security blanket of mine, it's chic, simple, warm and pretty much works for every occasion.

Having the luxury of wearing all black to work, a turtle neck (while its cold) is my first choice.

Working as part of the front of house team at a local restaurant, requires me to look presentable, neat and tidy. I usually like to wear feminine floaty trousers with a soft chiffon blouse, but the weather has completely messed up my flow! I have no intention of feeling the slightest bit of draft as customers wonder in and out of the restaurant so the turtle neck is here to stay! I ensure it is fitted, to tuck neatly into my thick-ish straight cut trousers. A ballet flat usually is ideal for this ensemble channelling Audrey Hepburn, but no girl, I can't have my feet feeling the breeze either. I opted for a pair of patent black boots.

As some of you may know I work as a freelance wardrobe stylist but, I also have that "side hustle" to keep the extra change jingling in my pocket.
My working situation is a temporary means while I continue to build for my future goals and accomplishments. We sometimes allow ourselves to get slightly comfortable in our "temporary" situations whether it be procrastination, fear or laziness that ties us to not putting our complete effort and passion into the full time dream!

It's so easy to look at what others are doing and think that they have it easy, but they too have the same 24 hours in a day that you are given.

The most important part of being on the road to success is the journey. Learning, growing, experiencing and even failing, prepares you and shapes you for the bigger blessings coming your way. Be patient with yourself... Rome was not built in a day!

GYM LIFE

HEY LOVERS!!

As some of you may know, I am a very active person. I enjoy boyish activities such as go-karting, football, boxing and wrestling. Growing up with two older brothers justifies my inner tomboy. I always wanted to fit in with them, so tagged along when they went out to play and became one of the "boys" when around them.
Lately I have become a member of Herbalife and giiiiiirl it has changed a WHOLE lot for me. I've had goals for a long time to whip my body into great shape and maintain it...I religiously went to the gym, did the Insanity challenge but realised it was my eating habits that were hindering me from seeing the kind of results I wanted.
Not only does Herbalife help to control your intake, but it guides you towards a healthier lifestyle. My body is sure looking good y'all (I'll do a separate blog-post talking through my journey so far... in detail).

Along with making better choices when eating, going to the gym and staying active helps my progression. Not only am I looking better, I'm feeling GREAT!!
When you look 'stylishly' great you feel EVEN better! I tend not to do a whole lot when getting ready for the gym but I have a few sporty looks that work well for entering and exiting.

HAREMS- EBay
TRAINERS- United Footwear
CLUTCH- Market

All black everything with a dash of colour and hint of print makes for a clean look. This men's wear maxi bomber jacket is one of my favourite items currently. It is low maintenance, casual and comfortable. I find that I can dress it up with heels too. This day I chose to wear it to the gym over a round neck jumper and harems.
Although black is classic I decided to throw in some colour using my accessories.

FRIENDSHIP TAG!!

Hey Dolls!! hAPPY nEW yEAR!!!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and celebrated into the New Year with loved ones. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time off work, relaxing eating, planning... but now it's time to get back to business!!
Most make new years resolutions at the beginning of January or at least try to change a few things which is great, but unfortunately as the year progresses we sometimes get a little relaxed and the motivation wears off. NO, NO, NO!! Don't let that happen. Mentality strive for greatness!! Once you tell yourself you are going to do something there should be NO GOING BACK!!

PLAN AHEAD, FOCUS, and COMMIT!
I've decided to start this year by continuing to keep myself in check! I am doing this by no longer recycling old experiences and keeping my circle extra small.

Meet my BFF Shanelle! We had a little girl chat sharing our thoughts about the qualities people around us should possess in order to help elevate your personal growth. Take a watch :)

HAVE A GREAT WEEK KIDDIES!! Stay stylish!
