LBD !!

Little Black Dress

The little black dress, is a must have! It's almost ESSENTIAL that you have one ladies :).  Whether it's an 'all purpose' dress, a 'come hither' type dress or a real throw on piece, it is important to have one.
Black is timeless, chic and edgy... with the right fit for your shape and size, the perfect little black dress will do wonders for any occasion.

This skater dress is fun and flirty for daytime. I styled it with a black fedora and opted for some flats.

If going out to dinner with friends, a change of shoe will do the trick. An ankle boot with black sheer tights to vamp it up.
This is the perfect casual dress to throw on, with almost anything e.g. a long trench coat, short leather jacket or over-sized blazer.
The shape is also flattering for all sizes. Whether you have broad shoulders and blessed with big boobs, or shapely in the hip and booty area, it will cling and fall in the right places.

An 'all purpose' dress is key! Nights out, events, catch ups with friends and dinner dates are welcomed. Because the cut and style is pretty basic, this dress can be styled to your liking with accessories. The right choice of jacket and shoes will pull the look together.

I have chosen a pair of thigh-high suede boots and an over-sized blazer to wear with this dress. It is an ideal look for an after work shin-dig or an evening meal for two. A pair of pointed stiletto heels and a peplum style jacket, would really take a basic look to an evening ensemble.

PVC and faux leather has been on trend for quite some time now. It adds a nice amount of texture to an outfit and doesn't drain your pockets when shopping.
The style of this dress is very Sandy from the movie "Grease". It doesn't require much styling. To pull the look together, the right shoe is important.

I threw on a pair of sneakers, a denim jacket to change the look and show the versatility in styling this PVC number. The styling is important, all depending on how you want to look and feel.

For all the ladies that are taken, this is that 'date night' dress. It's simple, sassy and naughty. A clingy dress that will hug you in all the right places, is perfect for when you want extra loving from the hubby.

This can be styled with a long floaty shawl or a fur coat. I teamed this dress with comfy, mesh, peep toe heels and a white clutch . The statement factor of this dress, is all in the back. Because of the plunge, less accessories work better.

I bought this dress from H&M recently and I must say, it is has been recycled a little too often. This dress is comfortable, clingy, and so easy to rock. It can be worn with flats or heels, as a maxi or midi, or as a top with jeans.

This dress is ideal for a concert. Although it is warm, it is light-weighted and easy to wear. The hood can be pulled forward to create a ruffled neckline. A leather jacket keeps this look edgy, along with a wide brimmed fedora.

WEEKEND WEARS!

WHAT I WORE!

I was back in London this weekend supporting and styling a dear friend of mine at Proud Camden and I knew I wouldn't have time to change clothes before the evening gig, so I decided to wear something I would feel pretty decent in for friday day and night.
I chose to wear a printed shirt, a pair of high-waisted trousers and a leather jacket. I accessorized with a matte lip and faux fur body bag.
This leather jacket was my main accessory for the weekend. A leather jacket is timeless, edgy and can be dressed up or down. This genuine leather jacket I purhased from ebay was an absolute steal for just £24!!

On the saturday I spent the day with my favourite friend Yasmin. We went for coffee and caught up on life. It was so so nice to see her and chat. It truly is a special thing when you know that you have friends who are genuinely for you.. no jealously, complete support in your ventures and pure encouragement! Unfortunately Yasmin and I have both experienced shade from people we value...it's disheartening because it is unexpected, especially coming from people you think you've estabilished life-long bonds with. What we have both realised is that it is not a reflection on us, but them, which is likely to stem from personal insecurities. I will do a seperate blogspot in more depth about this subject lol.. I chose to wear a simple outfit, quite similar to one above, to meet Yaz. A black and white printed shirt, high-waisted black jeans, an oversized cardigan and my leather jacket on top. I accesorized with these cat eye glasses that really added to this fit.

So Sunday evening I planned to go to an event called Vocals and Verses held at Vibe Bar in Shoreditch. This event happens once a month showcasing talented artists, from poets, singers, rappers and lyricists. I always thoroughly enjoy going to Vocal and Verses and I am never disappointed with what I see. I wanted to wear this bohemian, floaty look, but the weather was a lot freshier on Sunday, so opted for an all black layered ensemble. Below is a few snaps of what I intially chose to wear.

The Belair House

NUDE

Hey kittens! Its been a little while since i've blogged. I've been a little busy, which is always a good thing!
The autumn leaves have fallen and I love it! The colours are so pretty.

This past weekend I tagged along to a birthday party held at the Belair House. It was a little mansion in Dulwich. For this occasion it made sense to get all dolled up, hair, makeup, heels, a snazzy dress, the lot! But I wanted to wear something simple and quiet. I opted for a nude dress, 'barely there' heels and a nude clutch. My outfit for the night was still very fitting, yet comfortable. I also wore a short tan fur coat to pull the look in.
My bestie felt like Beyonce in her gown. The scenery had her singing partition lol. We had a good giggle! Great company, great night!
I didn't take any pics of the mansion itself, but here are a few snaps below..enjoy!

STYLE TIP: Good company affects the way you carry yourself when you walk in a room. Accessorize yourself with great company. Choose carefully.

MENSWEAR INSPIRED LOOKBOOK

 ANDROGYNOUS

For those that know me, know that even though I love to look feminine, I prefer a bit of edge. My style has evolved as I've matured and changed. I am mainly inspired by menswear and edgy fashionistas such as Ciara. That faintly masculine touch is my thang! I've posted a 'menswear' inspired lookbook. There are 5 looks, 2 of which are more formal and the other 3 casj. Enjoy! :)
